January:
Overall
Can't find much to say, to be honest! Had some decent output for about half a year, all of it pretty short, and also spent an equal amount of time focusing on other stuff. That seems average, but in a good way. Considering it's been a turbulent kind of year, I'm pretty happy with that.
Most popular story
Cut. Didn’t expect that! I guess flirty pillow talk goes well :D
Story most underappreciated by the universe
Meet me in the dirtiest city kind of went down like a lead balloon. It was a pretty weird idea and admittedly I didn’t put as much effort into it as I could have, it’s an experiment more than anything. So that’s fair.
Most controversial story
I went against popular circumcision fanon in Cut? That obviously didn’t hurt it though :D
Hardest story to write
Famine went from underworked to overworked very quickly and after all the chaos of fixing it, I’m still not quite sure I managed to say all I wanted. On the other hand, it might not be the story I’m most proud of in the technical sense, but it’s definitely the one nearest to my heart and maybe the most vulnerable one I’ve written recently.
Favorite title
Don't necessarily have any clear faves. Puzzled but not unhappy with my one word titles this year, they do pack a punch. Meet me in the dirtiest city is more traditional to my style and took a while to research, I'm pretty happy with it as well.
Favorite line/scene
Double Exposure is full of great imagery, like
Also Either way, he can still be the first Loki Mobius kissed on the mouth is one hell of an ending, if I may say so myself.
Most of the others are so short I have trouble pulling something specific. They’re like sweet little candy bites :3
Favorite character to write about this year
Starsky my beloved. Also Sylvie, another traumatised female character for the portfolio. Liked teasing out the complexities of Mobius as well.
Looking back, did you write more stories than you thought you would this year, fewer than you thought or about what you predicted?
Definitely more!
What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted? What fic didn't you expect to write?
Hm, I dunno, I got into SH the year before, so things pretty much went to plan. I suppose I didn’t really expect to actually finish my Loki fic. Long time WIPs have it hard over here.
Story that could have been better?
Meet you in the dirtiest city is pretty sparse, though I’m not sure that working on it longer would’ve made a difference. Otherwise they’re all pretty small and contained. Double Exposure is my pride and joy but could’ve had a better title; alas, I wanted to be done with it.
Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them?
Hm, not really? I guess I did finally post one of my weirder idea and it didn’t go over too well, but I don’t think that’s gonna stop me in the future :D
Fic you wanted to write but didn't
My Starsky/Hutch genderbend AU. Idk, it would either have to be longfic or finding a way to contain the sprawling ideas in a limited format and I don’t really know how to do either.
What's next for 2022
I pretty much just let it hit me as it comes. Currently not particularly feeling like writing, actually. We’ll see how long that lasts.

Favorite line/scene
Double Exposure is full of great imagery, like
- They slunk to the sides of the alley like cats prowling in the shadows.
- Dave had started weeping, in that terrifying quiet way you cry late at night when the pain finally starts seeping out through your teeth.
- Or the end scene that so many lovely readers have also pointed out.
Also Either way, he can still be the first Loki Mobius kissed on the mouth is one hell of an ending, if I may say so myself.
